When Things Don’t Go as Planned: Trusting Allah’s Greater Wisdom

Sometimes, we miss out on something we deeply wanted a job opportunity, a promotion, or a life milestone we’ve been dreaming about. In that moment, it’s easy to feel disappointed, disheartened, or even question why it happened. But what we often fail to realize is that Allah is not denying us; He is redirecting us to something even better.

There is wisdom behind every delay and every closed door. Allah sees the bigger picture the entire story of our life while we only see a single scene. We may only understand one chapter, but He has written the whole book from beginning to end. What you think is a setback may actually be the beginning of a greater plan, something more beautiful than what you had imagined.

So don’t be sad. Every moment, every twist, and every turn is part of His divine arrangement. There is a hidden blessing (hikmah) in everything, even in the things that break our hearts or test our patience. Trust that Allah has already prepared something more meaningful for you, something that aligns perfectly with your journey.

Take a deep breath. Release your fear. And from the depths of your heart, say:

“Ya Allah, I trust You. I surrender to Your plan. I believe that what’s written for me will never miss me, and what misses me was never meant for me.”

Hold on to that trust, and you’ll find peace even in uncertainty.
