How I Balanced Exams, Audits and Growth in One Week

There was one particular week that truly tested me. I had to sit for my final exams of the second semester while also being fully occupied with audit sessions at work. The schedule was hectic and pressured but Alhamdulillah with proper planning and tawakkul, I managed to balance everything and complete my responsibilities.

The Power of Time Management

One of the most important lessons I applied during this period was time management. Instead of waiting until the last minute, I created a timetable in advance. I reviewed my exam schedule early, identified which subjects needed more focus and allocated specific study hours accordingly. For example, Business Economic required more practice because it involved complex calculations that I struggled with. To manage this, I dedicated more time to solving exercises and problem-based questions compared to subjects like Human Resources Management or Energy Regulation and Policies. This approach taught me that consistency and strategy are key not just for exams but for life’s bigger challenges.

As muslims, we are reminded to plan wisely while placing our trust in Allah. The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said:

Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah.

This means we must make the effort but also believe that Allah will guide the outcome.

Handling multiple commitments at once, studying while working, trained me to stay disciplined, organised and resilient. These are the very skills employers value; managing stress, prioritising tasks and delivering results under pressure. I learned that even the toughest subjects become manageable with consistent effort, breaking topics into smaller parts, daily practise and seeking help when needed. InsyaAllah, I hope these efforts will reflect in good results for my exams. But more importantly, I consider the journey itself learning, planning and improving a valuable success on its own.

Facing New Experiences With Courage

My final examination were held on 9 and 10 August 2025. However, that same week was especially packed with other responsibilities. Alongside exams and audits, I was also involved in a corporate video shooting a completely new experience for me. At first, I felt nervous because it was outside my comfort zone. But I reminded myself that every opportunity is a chance to grow. Alhamdulillah, I embraced it positively and gained more confidence. Through this experience, I learned how to present myself clearly and professionally on camera. A skills that will definitely benefit me in the future, whether in HR training sessions, career development talks or academic presentations.

Responsibility and Integrity in Career

Meanwhile, the audit session demanded full dedication. Although audits happen every year, I never take them lightly. As an HR professional, I must ensure that all processes are fully compliant with employment laws and regulations. This required me to carefully review employment contract, foreign workers documentation and hostel workers to ensure accuracy and alignment with legal standard. Any mistakes could bring serious consequences not only for the organization but also for employees welfare. This responsibility reminded me of a core value in both career and faith; integrity and accountability. Whether in exams, audits or new challenges, staying true to these principles is what truly defines success.

Reflection

That week tested me in many ways, but it also shaped me. Balancing exams, audits and new opportunities wasn’t easy, yet it pushed me to grow in discipline, courage and responsibility. Alhamdulillah, I came out stronger.
